This course is given in conjunction with the Niels Bohr Visiting Professorship for Hassan Aref provided by the Danish National Science Foundation (Danmarks Grundforskningsfond) 2006-2010. The contents of the course vary from year to year according to the following themes:

  • Fall 2006: Instability, bifurcation and chaos in fluid dynamics
  • Fall 2007: Interfaces, bubbles and drops
  • Fall 2008: Vorticity dynamics
  • Fall 2009: Fluid dynamics at very small length scales
  • Fall 2010: Complex fluids and solutions
Teachers
Professor Hassan Aref, FluidDTU and Virginia Tech
Professor Henrik Bruus, DTU Nanotech
